Raising Roan

19 months, actually. Let’s see, what’s new…he’s really into Legos, chalkboards, and Thomas & Friends (trains). He’s still crazy about trucks, emergency vehicles, balls, books, animals, and music. He’s actually a great dancer and plays a mean air guitar. He is very tall (comparable to a 3 yr old), and has quite a few teeth now. He throws some wicked tantrums. He loves using the word “no” (even when he means “yes”), loves to be chased, loves to hug and tackle other kids, and loves to run. He’s very good at sign language now (articulate, wide ranging, and learns new signs fast), which is really helpful and cute. He can also give you a high five, shake your hand, give you some skin, give you the thumbs up, and do “ET phone home.” He said his first swear word recently (“shit”) and made a point to practice it diligently immediately upon catching mom’s poorly smothered reaction (laughter). Hmmm, if we think of anything else, we’ll add it later. Until next time, we love and miss our friends and family.
